Universal’s Epic Universe: Florida’s Largest and Newest Amusement Park

Universal Orlando Resort is set to unveil its most ambitious project yet: Universal’s Epic Universe, scheduled to open on May 22, 2025. This expansive $7 billion theme park spans 750 acres, making it the largest in Florida, and introduces five immersive worlds, each offering unique attractions and experiences.

Celestial Park: The Heart of Epic Universe

Serving as the central hub, Celestial Park welcomes visitors with lush gardens, shimmering waterways, and architecture inspired by astrology and mythology. By day, guests can enjoy tranquil pathways and scenic beauty; by night, the area transforms with captivating illuminations. A highlight here is the Stardust Racers, a thrilling 133-foot dueling roller coaster that offers both excitement and panoramic views of the park.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic

This 1920s Parisian-inspired land combines elements from both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series. Guests can experience the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry ride, which employs innovative technology to simulate a magical elevator battle within the Ministry of Magic. Additionally, the Le Cirque Arcanus stage show features Eddie Redmayne reprising his role as Newt Scamander, battling a circus ringmaster misusing magical creatures.

Super Nintendo World: Enter the Game

Fans of Nintendo will be thrilled with Super Nintendo World, the largest of its kind globally. The area features the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride, an augmented reality experience that brings the iconic racing game to life. Additionally, the Donkey Kong Country section offers the Mine Cart Madness roller coaster, designed to simulate jumps over broken tracks, providing an adrenaline-pumping adventure.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

Step into the Viking village of Isle of Berk, inspired by the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. This family-friendly land includes attractions like Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, a roller coaster that mimics dragon flight, and Dragon Racer’s Rally, where guests can train for dragon racing. Live performances featuring dragons further immerse visitors in this mythical world.

Dark Universe: A Realm of Classic Monsters

Delve into the eerie Dark Universe, where Universal’s classic monsters come to life. The Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment ride offers a high-tech experience as guests navigate Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory amidst escaped creatures. For thrill-seekers, the Curse of the Werewolf roller coaster provides a spine-chilling journey through a shadowy landscape.

Accommodations and Tickets

Adjacent to the park is the luxurious Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a 500-room property offering exclusive views and a dedicated entrance into Epic Universe. Ticket sales began on October 22, 2024, with options ranging from multi-day passes to vacation packages. Due to anticipated high demand, initial offerings focus on multi-day experiences, with single-day tickets expected to be released at a later date.

Universal’s Epic Universe promises an unparalleled blend of storytelling, innovation, and immersive experiences, solidifying its place as a must-visit destination for theme park enthusiasts worldwide.
